I picked this off my mother as she left my apartment tonight. I thought it was a piece of fuzz so started to try to pull it apart (which may explain why the back looks a little odd). We have had carpet beetles and moths in the recent past, but that appears resolved. This guy seems to have little hairs.

I've been getting these little unexplained welts that come and go pretty quickly, but even though I've been waiting out a possible exposure to bedbugs, I've written the welts off to hormones (ok, perimenopause).

Could this/these be the cause of the welts, and what on earth is it?

    Thanks.

Mystery solved - mom said she was on our deck and she thought it was probably something ladybug - I googled ladybug larvae and there it was! So, it looks like these could be causing my welts, if there are more of them, right?

    Mom is always right
