What do bb eggs look like when squished?

    Hello, i was wondering if anyone here knows what bed bug eggs look like when squished. Is there any color?

    Fried or scrambled ?

    They pretty much look like what they were prior to being squished, only squished.

    That is, depending upon the stage of development, there will still be: the chitinous shell which is translucent plus whatever contents were within immediately prior to the squishing.

    For example, if this was an egg from which a first instar bed bug was about to emerge, you'd likely see the body parts of that tiny critter if you know what to look for. However, these tiny guy would appear squished as well.

    Viable eggs are translucent and appear pearly white.

    Non-viable eggs tend to darken in color and may be from a tan to a brownish color.

    There is some variability here as you can tell.
