When you examine objects like makeup, how do you approach it?

How long do you spend on each item? Do you open it up? What's your approach?

If you're moving, I think you should visually inspect such things.

Bottles of liquids which seal tightly might be able to be plunged into a sink of hot water with detergent. That would be a quick way to deal with lots of things, as long as you have a tight seal!

Other items, I would carefully inspect the outside and pop the lid open.

Wash brushes and things in hot soapy water.

Keep in mind that items which have lived in your purse or near your bed or sitting areas will probably be more at risk than items which live in the bathroom.

I am not an expert, by the way.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

I was thinking of pack toting the brushes later. Everything else was hand examined and wiped down with alcohol.

Most of this was stored inside of zipped bags inside of a train case. I saw no signs of infestation.

    Thank you for your advice!
