I am freaking out. We are in the process of ripping out our carpets for renos and I found this part of a bug and worry it looks a lot like a bed bug. It appears to be the underside only... missong the top and possible the head, although I am not sure. Please help. I tried my best to get clear pics. The top was very hard to get but it essentially looks empty. Area wear head is appears to have 2 little points.

Body shape is not consistent with a bed bug.
On the off chance that you did actually find an old, dried out bed bug after removing carpet I would be more inclined to believe it would have been from a previous infestation.

Doesn't look like a bed bug at all and it is missing the head.

Really? Thank you both. I was nearly convinced it was. What do you think it is? We have a carpet beetle problem and i have found tons of larvae (dead and alive), cast larvae skins, and tiny adult beetles (dead and alive). My only thoughts are that these are beetle parts?

It does look like a beetle body, but not clear picture to see parts.
