Kept getting a "resource allocation limit exceeded" error for the past 10 minutes or so. A 508 error. That might explain the multiple posts by the same user that look to be the same thing. Other areas of the site seemed fine when I accessed them.

Could we be hitting the boards so much that the server is suffering bed bug burnout? Hopefully this was just a hiccup but it may be worth checking out in case there's a bigger meltdown brewing.

    Help us, NoBugs! Help us!

Not a pro. I have some knowledge and a success story, both thanks to this site.

Sorry you had trouble. This happens occasionally but should be momentary and its always worth trying again a few minutes later.

We should have a new host in the not-distant future which should eliminate this occasional issue.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

Very good to know that it is not something new, even though it may have been the first time some of US saw it. Even better to know this may not be a concern in the future!

    Thank you, NoBugs.

UPDATE: This issue has been happening more often and I asked the hosting service to make a change.

Please let me know (preferably in this thread, or in an email or PM) if you have this issue occur again so I can follow up. The message you will see is "508 resource allocation limit exceeded".

    Thanks!

Thanks, AbFr-- The change was made in the last few hours, but I am not sure when. Let's just say any reports before say 3:30 EST on Fri. 1/30 may not be relevant.

That's great, Abs! There should be zero issues now.

If it happens again, please post here when you can and if you can glance at the clock and tell me the time when it happened (eg 3:04 CST), it is even more helpful.

Better a 508 then a 404 although there do seem to be some ID -10 t errors at the keyboard.

    Hi Itsjustabug,

I just want to double check that you saw the 508 error code in the title?
I expect you did but if so, darn! I thought it was gone.

Maybe it has to do with the snow storms ,I have noticed it has happened & each time I have got it was with a bad snow from north to south . lucky tho it didn't last as long as the snow :-)..
Yes 508 error code in the title lasted about 15 minutes.

    Thanks, Itsjustabug!

It shouldn't be from the snow, probably a coincidence.

Please let me know if it happens again, because any time it does, I want to follow up with the server people.

The good news is the problem seems *mostly* solved, which is good. But I'd like it to be 100% solved.

I tried repeatedly (about five to ten times) from computer and phone during that time period and could not get on during that time in all attempts.
