I was at a friends house from about 2pm to 11pm, and I was unaware of the bedbug problem they had in one of their bedrooms.

They said it was a mild problem for the past 5 months, but I cant help but suspect it spread around their house.

I took a nap on their couch for about an hour or two. Once I realized they had bedbugs I went home and I took a shower and washed my clothes.

Should I be worried? I can't afford to lose my couch and mattress...

Bumping for expert. You may want to read the monitor FAQs. It's not a bad idea to implement a monitoring system for future use.

    Hi NEO Ness,

I concur with TAOT that you should get a passive monitor to check. Did you also dry your clothes in high heat? Heat kills bedbugs.

    Good luck to you.

What is a passive monitor? How much do they cost?

I did dry my clothes in a dryer that gets pretty darn hot, so I assume if there was any they'd be dead.

I looked up some passive monitors, they seem to be about 20$. Does that sound right?

That's not too bad, I don't have a lot of budget, but should I buy one for every bed/couch in the house or just mine?

There are different monitors, but most people will have it on the beds, sofa, favorite computer chair, etc. There is a FAQ on monitors. It helps because then you may have a way to know sooner.
