I've killed 6 of these in the last 2 days. Landlord says she thinks they're beetles but can't get an exterminator in for at least 2 weeks. I trapped a live on so can attempt better photos if needed and told how. Thanks!

    Hi,

    They are adult carpet beetles.

To be honest it’s not a job you need an exterminator for just some time and a vacuum cleaner. If you read the forum posts about carpet beetles you will see a link to a solution document on my website.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi David, Lou,

Thank you both for the response as usual, as well as the specific species! I would like to pester one more time. This bug is already dead, I stepped on it in our complex laundry room. The reason I've been so paranoid the last couple weeks is a neighbor clearly has them, throwing out furniture every day and trying to hide it from the landlord.

    Hi,

100% not bedbug, they cant break apart like that. I suspect its isopod but would defer to Lou who is far more experienced than me.

    Hi again David,

Thank you so much! I don't think I was aware until now that they couldn't break apart like that. That will help quite a lot!
