Ugh! I was beginning to think we got rid of our BBs. Unfortunately it looks like one heat treatment and 2 pesticide treatments didn't quite do it. All it took was a tiny 1/2 inch tear in an encasement to bring them back. And the grossest thing of all is that inside the slit, I see a rusty, reddish black color. We taped up the slit in the encasement and are calling the PCO for another round of pesticides. This time, we're removing the mattresses and boxsprings from the frames. We're much more gentle than our PCO.

Gosh, Toledo. I'm so sorry. You were well on your way to victory, too. Maybe you caught the escapee early and there will be no more issue. Monitor closely with passives and try to stay calm if you can. Maybe it's time to toss the mattress so you wont risk reinfection a few months down the road? I'm rooting for you!
