I am really really hoping for guidance here.

I had a new outbreak of bed bugs recently (very initial stages, they're not even calling it an infestation, and i hired a certified dog who indicated bb activity only in our mattress and no where else).

The landlord is using a new exterminator. I asked him what chemicals he was planning to use because I like to research them myself. He started listing "Suspend SC, Gentrol, Nuvans, Delta Dust, Bedlam... many others! Many chemicals!" He may have said phantom as well, i can't recall, as I was so surprised by the length of his list followed by the exclamation that there were "many others!" English was not his first language and he was so brusque and I felt so overwhelmed that I didn't feel up to pursuing the topic further.

The two other exterminators I've worked with in the past generally sprayed no more than 2 different chemical pesticides in combination, and they targeted problem areas instead of doing the whole apartment. This guy on the other hand is using more chemicals than he can be bothered to list, and he also went on at length about how he was going to "spray and fumigate" nearly everywhere in the apartment.

I don't know whether to be reassured by his thoroughness or alarmed at the number of pesticides I'm going to be exposed to.

Please help! I would really love to hear from you. Is it normal/advisable/safe to use that many chemicals? This guy is npmpa certified and has a safety rating of 9... but he's alarmed the hell out of me. Were my previous specialists just lazy and ineffective and the new guy is the real deal? Or is this new guy a maniac?

I got a full list of the pesticides from the PCO. He plans to use all of the following

    Gentrol IGR
    Suspend SC
    Bedlam
    Kills bed bugs plus
    Deltadust

Should I be worried or reassured?

Gentrol has been reported not to do anything at label rates.
Bedlam and Bedlam Plus I think you mean. Crossfire is a new one - wonder why that's not being used. No CimeXa dust? Suspend and Deltadust have the same pyrethroid, Deltamethrin.
You have a new outbreak? You had a previous infestation?
