i was thinking. ok, you guys can stop laughing now. But, I really was thinking. You know how products are shipped with a packet of silca gel? i was wondering, would it help to have one or two of those small packets in each drawer? if a bedbug got into your drawer, wouldn't that kill them?

it wouldn't eliminate your infestation, but it could help it to stop growing maybe? What do you think?

To the best of my knowledge, the silica gel packs would have no effect. The silica is formed into pellets and are placed in a packet. This supposedly absorbs moisture. For silica (DE, etc.) to kill BB, they need to walk through the fine powder and get it on their skins. There's a video on YT where a guy grinds down the pellets to a fine powder. This is not recommended, as the process and resulting product may be more hazardous than store bought food grade DE.
