    Definitely an earwig. I'm not an "expert" but I spent all last summer knocking them off my garden plans, so...

    They don't bite but they can pinch with the little butt claws they have going on. I've never been pinched by one so I can't say how painful it is or whether it would leave a mark. I don't think you'd have a "bug bite" reaction to it though, since they aren't piercing skin and injecting anything. Could be wrong on that though.

    Yes, that's an introduced earwig from Europe and yours is a female. Butt claws are cerci.
