    Hi Everyone,

I have had bed bugs for about a month and a half. PCO will be here next Wednesday for heat treatment. Unfortunately things aren't simple.

I live in a one bedroom with my fiancee and he isn't reacting to bites. Because of this, he doesn't appear to be taking this seriously. We were preparing to move so 97% of our things are in plastic tubs in the living room. We now must unpack and wash every cloth item per preparation guidelines and we don't have a washer/dryer in our complex. We both work 12 hours a day with little opportunity to take a day off. This is making things difficult.

My family won't come help and I don't blame them. I'm trying to do what I can when I get home but I'm overwhelmed. I get bitten every time and as a person who was already dealing with a heavy depression/anxiety combo, this is getting to a crippling point. "Suck it up and get over it" says my dad. It's not that easy for me.

I'm starting to feel pretty pathetic. I attempted to throw out some clothes and one bit me in the neck. Now, here I am, a 27 year old adult woman bawling on her balcony about some tiny bugs. I feel defeated. I know what needs to be done. I just need help and maybe some kind words to keep me going. I'm sorry this introduction isn't my best work but I hope I can continue to post on this forum about my journey.

I'm so sorry, hon. I have a daughter about your age, I wish I could give you a hug. This all sucks.

My husband was pretty non-supportive, too. Makes it way worse, if we could all just pitch in together it would be much better.

How do you work 12 hour days long term? That must be really burning you out. So sorry. I guess just work as hard as you can during the time you're home. If you can plow through it, it will be a short time of working hard and then it will be good. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, you can do it. Make sure they or you put down Cimexa or some other dust when the heat treatment is done, because it's very common for heat treatments to leave a few behind. I want you to have the best chance of success as possible. You can do it! One step at a time.

    Code9,
Sorry you're going through all that. Many of us understand the non-reactive partner issue.

I know the prep is daunting. Consider whether you can spread the work out. Some things may have to happen right now, but everything doesn't. For example, if you seal clothing in an airtight manner, you can treat it later (as long as it's kept airtight and safe from cat claws and other hazards). Remember clean clothing and linens need only to be dried on hot-- rewashing isn't necessary.

In some cases, people outsource some of the work. In NYC, for example, and some other big cities, there are companies that specialise in bed bugs who will do laundry for you.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

You are not pathetic. It may help your fiancee to be more supportive if you does some research himself. I a grown man with some ocd issues and this just drained me. O and the suck it up comment is wrong because he just does not understand what you are going thru. Breathe! life is full of many chapters long not all of them are fun next one will be better.

Not a Pro I just spend to much time researching BB's.

I was also wondering how things were going and how effective the heat treatment was if you already had it? I am going to try contacting a professional today and getting prices on heat treating and guarantee info.
