    Hi there,
I'm freaking out, trying to remain calm.

A week ago I found three bites - one on the inside of my wrist and one each on the top of my hands. They were itchy but not welty... and I know that everyone reacts differently to bites. No bites on my husband or son... it's been a week and nothing new on me.

But I freaked out. Have have ClimbUps on our bed for 3 nights... empty today. Searched the mattress, headboard and slats under the mattress (Ikea bed)... nothing. Tonight I'm vacuuming, alcohol spraying, etc. Washing everything that was in the room, just in case.

THEN - as if I wasn't freaked out enough, I found this bug today on the bathroom floor. Odd thing is, I scrubbed the bathroom last night for two hours. Where did this come from? It's super dried up. Can someone please help me ID? I am SO appreciative for your help!

Too bad you couldn't have gotten an image with more resolution than the medium setting.

This looks like it might be a carpet beetle:

They can cause skin reactions if you're allergic.

I am not an expert so will wait for confirmation.

Update: I detract my suggestions-- Lou and EffeCi (below) are the experts!

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

It's interesting that the image is higher resolution, but the creature is not perfectly focused. One picture looks a little like a small cockroach nymph because it appears to have small cerci at the rear (what I think is the rear). Other pictures make me think something like isopods (woodlice). I realize these are all images of the same creature. Sorry, not a perfect ID. Anyway, not bed bug. And might not be what actually caused your skin lesions.

Thanks so much for your help Loubugs and Nobugsonme. I really appreciate it.

I already feel myself calming down. I will still be doing another thorough check right now in all rooms just in case. As you said, I'm still not sure where my 'bites' came from.
