You can place them in a bag with items that may have bedbugs.

They must be used in a SEALED container or space which is not occupied, and following all label instructions. More information here.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

Oh ok. Pco told me I could put anything in the closet and keep the door closed. But I guess I will transfer it all in to plastic tubs and start over being that the closet is in our room.

Theoretically, it can be done in a sealed closet, outbuilding, or other room which is unoccupied.

However, I find that giving brief answers is not that helpful.

Can you do this in a closet if pets or kids or cognitively challenged people live there and might get into the treated space? Maybe not a good idea.

Read the label instructions and you will have a good idea of what can be done safely.

The pco left me with one so I didn't have a label Google it and read it's fine to use in closets even YouTube it lol. He said i couls also cut it in half and use it in seperate tubs. I would like to get some more but they are kind of pricey almost 40.00for a few of them. Are there any comparable ones that anyone has tried for a better price? I saw the hot shot ones on amazon and I think I saw they are available at like walmart. Want to know if anyone has tried them and if they work.

Also I my child isn't allowed to walk or crawl on the floor in the room even when the pco said it was ok. (Just don't want her on the carpet afraid she might get some dust on her or even a walong bug) so she can't access the closet and it's closed. And the only other people in the house are my fiance and I and he knows not to open the closet.

As long as you follow the label instructions, you should be okay.

There are two brands of DDVP available in the US, depending where you live-- the useful tools page explains this and links to examples of both if you click here.
