    Hi,

Can someone tell me what these are? I am finding them EVERYDAY on my tile, sometimes on my kitchen counter.. I have never had any issues with bugs in my home. I took a collection of them to the hardware store.. but nobody knows what they are. I am assuming because it has been so hot in Southern Calif, that must be why I am seeing them.. I have carpet upstairs only..

    Thanks so much

    Hi,

It's our old friend the variegated carpet beetle. A quick search of the forum will point you in the right direction, the trick is to focus on removal of any larval skins.

    Hope that helps.

"Zed it's a beetle" and aside from the bizarre British spelling David is quite correct, varied, but it feeds on many things as a trip through the forum, Yahoo or Google will inform you.

Your pest control company should not tell you that it's a bed bug.
