I found this dead bug in the door crack of my car today. Here is the photo:

If it isn't one, is anyone able to tell what it is?

I did have a recent infestation in my home and had a 6 weeks chemical treatment that ended on March 23rd. Since then. I haven't seen any signs at all except for 1 dead bug, which is not something alarming. I asked the PCO back then if I should be worried about my car and he said that the chances of infestation in my car were too low.

From my knowledge, I would say it isn't a bedbug. My guess is that it is too big to be one (it was at least over 1cm long) and also that weird sting on the end of its body. If I had them in my car, chances are I would also have them in my home right? And I do not think I do since I have interceptors to all to all bed legs in my home and also a packtite passive monitor under my mattress that I inspect once or twice very week. I have a can of BedLam at home, should I spray some in my car just in case?

Any feedback on my reasoning would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you

That in no way resembles a bed bug.

Obviously not a bed bug and a posting on Imgur stating that it's a cricket is also wrong. It's a female earwig.

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been following this website for a while now since I moved to my new apartment.
Could anyone please tell me whether this is a BB skin or something else. I found this in the kitchen cabinet, but it also could be that previous tenant was treating the bug problem himself (just an assumption)...

Thank you so much for your replies BigDummy and loubugs. I have to admit that it does look a lot more like a female earwig than a bedbug.

    Bb_hater,
I don’t know if anyone is going to be able to ID hat since it looks crushed, but please repost in a new thread. If you don’t know how to start one, see this FAQ: https://bedbugger.com/forum/topic/how-to-use-the-forums

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."
