My apartment has recently been certified bed bug free by a PCO. They did a heat treatment and set out traps for like a month an a half while I vacated my apartment. This is actually the second time this happened (my landlady implied that the reinfestation was my fault - something about my lifestyle but I'm not sure what that would be? I'm thinking it could potentially be the building).

Anyway, I'm moving several hundred miles away back into my parents' house and I'm planning on taking only a couple suitcases. However, what do I do about my furniture? I can't sell it, right? even though in theory I'm bed bug free? I have a dresser that was 2 weeks old when the last infestation was discovered and a bunch of kitchen stuff (I'm just going to get rid of the sofa and the bed). Do I just have to take the hit and pay a lot of money to get a junk hauling company to come take everything away, even the things that probably never had bed bugs do begin with? Do I have any other options?

Most newer furniture is easy to treat. You don't have to get rid of the dresser. Save your money.
