    Hi,
I was reading the encasement posting from a number of years ago. What company is now recommended? And, KillerQueen, if I remember correctly, you recommended using a mattress encasement for the box spring. Do you still recommend that?
    Thanks.

And, another question. I had read about sanitizing mattresses and box springs before encasing. I don't know if I have bed bugs but I was thinking of doing it as a precaution. Do I need to sanitize them first and what does that entail?
    Thanks.

    Faye -

I am not an expert but been on the site several years. What do you mean by sanitized? Like cleaned or just treated? A good mattress encasement (and boxspring too) will prevent any bugs from escaping. Mine have been on my bed for at least 5-6 years. I do not have any cats so they are undisturbed. Be sure to tape the zipper closed and you should be fine.

Not sure what mean by sanitizing. Have seen the term used. That's great about your encasement. Which company is it? Thanks.

The encasements FAQ was last updated in 2015 and goes into pros and cons and recommendations from site pros:

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."
