Finding one bug every five days....was just told by a PCO that I don't have bugs, I have no signs of bugs. But yet what do I find during my night checks? You guessed it! A bug! Now I'm mad...really really mad. Or I'm about to have a break down. Not sure really.

Are you attached to another apartment unit? And have you found any fecal?

No, single dwelling. And no, no fecal. Last time I found blood/fecal anywhere was on April 4th on the wall. This guy was not fed. Most I find are not fed. April 11th was fed. April 6th was not fed. I'm never finding them on my bed, only walls. Never in dryer when I run the bed clothes. Not in traps. Two PCOs told me I don't have bugs. Clearly I do. No one is bringing them in the room either. No one leaves that room until clothes are checked in the morning. No one goes into that room until bed time. Clothes are checked before bed. There is one bed, metal frame dusted with DE. Mattress increased, stripped daily. And a dresser. Empty, and dusted with DE.

How did you first suspect that you had bed bugs other than finding an actual bug? Did anyone have any bites? Did you previously have bedbugs?
Good luck in your fight! I'm curious to hear others chime in on why the PCO continues to say that you do not have BBs when clearly you are finding plenty of them.

Read up about bedbugs that can reside in an attic. Anything in the attic?

Yes, we started getting bites. The room that has the bugs is my bedroom. I have two kiddos so they sometimes sleep with us. When they started showing up I checked immediately. I thought it was a small infestation but now I'm rethinking this. I checked because I used to work in a nursing home and have always had an healthy fear of bed bugs, I know what those bites mean. That's when my nightmare started. It started from a house guest we let use our room while he visited. Never have had them before.

    Hi Jim,
I have actually sent some bugs off to a specialist to make sure they are not bird bugs as the host of this site advised. I may have a case of bb or bird bugs. Not sure at this point. I had birds and nests in my attic, also a medium sized bird house outside the infested room. Bird bugs was suggested because of the unusual bug behavior. I find most bugs in broad daylight, just hanging out on the wall and nothing in traps. The shape also could suggest bird bug. Both previous PCO said bb but refuse to treat. Not even non chemical treatment. I wanted heat treatments. I suggested bird bugs and he checked the attic but since the nests were removed the day before he said no nest no bugs. I'm frustrated to say the least. Here are the other images I have posted. To me they look like bb, and my pictures are not the best. Of course I'm not a expert and have not a clue what to look for.

I don't think the images are clear enough to diagnose bed bugs vs. bird bugs. However, I am glad you've sent some samples off for ID.

    You should know more soon!

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

I don't think so either. I don't have the time or energy to hunt out the better one. But I hope so too! I will update on this thread....I just read the rule thingy and I think I have been posting a lot of different ones, so I will keep this one updated. Sorry guys. Does panic induced typing give me a free pass? But wish me luck, I hope this mess is over with soon!

    No worries about the threads.

You should have a bug ID soon and that is absolutely the most important step. Whatever the outcome, it can lead to resolution.

Still waiting, but in the mean time I'm just keeping up the hard work of keeping them contained. Just ordered different glue trap things. The ones I'm using I'm not confident in anymore.

Too bad the pictures are out of focus.

    Well I went seven days.
Found the tiniest dark spot on the wall, went to remove it...blood smear. So it was either a just hatched bug or fecal.
Random question guys...does fecal matter smear like that, like actual red blood or no? I was under the impression when it was it was blackish smears.
After a mini anxiety attack and crazy thoughts of moving to a whole new place and leaving this nightmare behind, I finished my nightly checks. Not a thing to be found.
Still haunt heard from Columbus about my sample.
Well wondering how this sucker was fed. Nothing is touching the walls. Bed has climb ups, and I have brand new glue traps set up. Like what's up with my super bugs? No one has bites either. Also my next question is since I cannot get a pro to heat treat the house (still convinced they are in the walls/attic) how can I do this on my own? Can anyone drop product names I can look into? I will be doing this to my attic and bedroom. Once again thanks for the support guys!

Lord help me. That is all I can say. I'm going to go crazy. Five days....find the tiniest spot of blood. I'm talking so small I the crazy lady that knows every nook and cranny of this room almost missed it. This once a week thing is nuts y'all. Still haunt heard back from my send out samples. But I found my better camera so I'm going to post pictures again (these are way better!) They look like the demon bugs to me.

So I already switched up my monitors, now I'm thinking of switching up my DE stuff. Any one use residual sprays? The eco friendly kind? I'm looking and found one that lasts for a week. Think that might help?
