    Was at a cafe with a pal who talked about her housemates having bedbugs and her being afraid of having them. Then I noticed over the next hour three or so of these things. I cannot be sure if they are bed bugs, the pics are the best I could take of the last one before it vanished (i tried to move it to get a better pic, but it slipped away)

    Yes, your drawing from the Internet is a powderpost beetle, but the picture of your specimen does not depict a powderpost beetle. Your unknown is more like a silvanid rather than a lyctine bostrichid. The photographs are a bit fuzzy when zoomed in, but look like a Oryzaephilus species, so saw-toothed grain beetle type insect.
