Hello all. I found this on the wall behind my bed. Touched it with my finger and no reaction from it. I thought it was dead until I got it in a baggie and it started crawling. Do you think it is a bed bug?

Def wait for Lou or david to confirm, but that's not a BB. NoBuggs might be able to say, too.

Not a bed bug. Looks like a carpet beetle larva still need a pro to confirm.

Definite carpet beetle larva and most likely an Anthrenus species. Do compare this to pictures of bed bugs so you will see no similarities.

The commonly encountered species of Anthrenus are A. verbasci, A. flavipes and A. scrophulariae. Adults are often easier to identify than are larvae. This actually is true for most insects and mites, basically arthropods and other things, too.
