My boyfriends apartment just got checked by terminix who found nothing. I showed the guy a picture of a bug I found on my bed and he immediately said it was a bed bug. Now I had my bed inspected last week by the company my landlord uses (can't remember the name) and they said it was not a bed bug and found no signs. I don't know who to believe! The terminix guy is coming tomorrow to inspect my place. I've read bad reviews about them so I'm scared to trust them. Who is one of the best companies? I am already stressed enough I don't need a company who isn't trustworthy. I live in Wilmington North Carolina if anyone knows good local places. Thanks!

The consensus here is that the big companies (Orkin, Terminex) vary from one branch or region to another.

Post a photo here and we can probably tell you what it is.

The pictures of the bug I found are at the bottom of this set: http://m.imgur.com/a/NPz46
I've been told on here it's probably not a bed bug but the pic is blurry and hard to zoom in on a computer-easier to see on a cellphone. It's body was black and head brown. The terminix guy said it was a bed bug that was fully fed and an adult. I haven't found any other signs except possible fecal on my headboard here: http://m.imgur.com/a/pjDFA Thanks in advance!

    Don't think that's bedbug related.

Thanks for the response Jim. You don't think any of it is related? The terminix guy is insisting that's what it is though he didn't find anything in my place. And insisted those were fecal spots, but I had already cleaned them off so he couldn't look at them in person.

He also said they could lay 500 eggs at a time..I thought I read on here that's not correct? I just don't know who to trust but I have barely slept in the last week and am constantly on the verge of crying.
