Insect ID, probably not a bed bug but what is it?

    Hi — My boyfriend has just had his place sprayed and I found this bug doing a check for bodies. I don't think it can be a bed bug – half of its back has a silver sheen and at the back end it narrows into a point that extrudes, almost like a tail. But I have no idea what it is and would appreciate someone identifying! It's about half a cm long.

    Not a bed bug. Can't really be sure from the picture. Looks like a true bug, but something like a planthopper, Hemiptera, suborder Auchenorrhyncha.

    Professional entomologist/arachnologist. I consult on all matters dealing with insects and arachnids, including those of natural history and biology to pest management and forensic entomology investigations.
