Is this, by any chance, referring to John Lennon's song?

Today is Yer Birthday John Lennon - he would have been 74. It's a gorgeous day here in NYC and maybe I'll take a stroll down to Strawberry Fields on 72nd St. to check out if anything's happening there....nah....wooden benches....too soon. But I will take this opportunity to make my first ID on this site: John Lennon was 100% not a bedbug but a rare endangered Liverpoolian beetle beatle of which there are only two remaining on the earth. Am I right Lou?

Oh and John's middle name? Winston! O'Buggy, did your parents name you after Lennon or the cigarette brand?

Ah, thanks for the clarification, Raising Cain. Still, that doesn't mean good ole Winston *isn't* hitting the hooch.

Winston [a pest expert here incognito] named himself.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

    And . . . if my memory serves me correctly . . .

"Interestingly, but not coincidently, 'Winston O Buggy' was, in fact, an alias used by John Lennon."

Here's another clue for you all, no he has not hit the hootch, thank you very much! Both John Lennon and myself share the birth date of Oct 9 which was also the second day of the great Chicago Fire of 1871and the death of Che Guevara. Winston was John's middle name and it found its way to one of his whimsical persona's Dr. Winston O Boogie which may also reference to The Col. Bogey March, the tune you hear whistled in Bridge over the River Kwai.
Winston O. Buggy on the other hand ...................
This post was in memory of John Lennon. IMAGINE

Regarding bedbugs, I doubt I'll ever be able to caulk the cracks and crevices of my brain's emotional center which allows unscientific, sometimes irrational, thoughts to creep in and go dormant in my psyche. I mean BBs can walk on water and are smart enough to drop from ceiling to satiate their bloodlust. When I read in that September 2014 PCT article how they're rapidly developing a resistance to the new pesticides, I resigned myself to a future where I will be sleeping in one of those tents and walking around my apartment in a beekeeper's suit. To clean the beekeeper's suit, my Packtite will no doubt be replaced by some kind of nuclear heater.

Is there any defense? Yes, and humans have used it since the beginning of time - it's called humor or an attempt at it, like this:

    Imagine there's no bedbugs
    It isn't hard to do
No bite marks or fecal poo
    And no Bed Bug Blue

Imagine all the victims living for today

    Imagine possessions
    I wonder if you can
    Yes to clutter and wicker
    A brotherhood of rattan

Imagine Cain and Bello living life in peace...yoo hoo

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
    And despair will be done

I will look into it -- but if not, the flagging system should be improved so that would be a backup plan.

! Haha. That made me spit my water out!

Winston, I hope you had a fabulous birthday.

TAOT - I'm over BD. Besides, he swings the other way it seems. He does still amuse, me however. As do you!

    BIS,

Oh good, we can be BFFs. We should be the Bed Bug Forum Real Housewives so that we fight and then are friends and then fight again.

I also laughed at the Bello and Cain comment.

    Take care!
