Found this 1 1/2 mm bug crawling across a tile floor.

Any help identifying it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Beetle not bedbug.

    Hope that helps.

Are your pictures taken through a plastic bag? It looks like one of the lesser found latridiid beetles.

Hate to say it, but a piece of tape, and magnified through a cheap pocket microscope.

And, after googling those beetles, your ID is spot on, Lou. Doesn't surprise me, we've had almost daily rain for the past three months out here in CA this winter (even a bit of moss growing on some of our roof tiles). I'm so used to finding springtails and the occasional psocid that this little guy was suspicious enough for me to inquire.

    You guys are awesome.
