    hi folks...

my wife has been bit by something for about a week straight. the bites are small and look similar to a flea or bed bug bite in my estimation, but I know bites are hard to diagnose. I tore apart the bed and found these odd traces in the seam of the mattress below our heads. only (1) specimen looks bed buggy to me, as the other things are very long and narrow and look almost like spider legs, but given that the one specimen does look very much like a bed bug and the bites have been occurring, I am a bit scared.

can anyone provide an ID from the photos? i apologize for the messy counters. your expertise is much appreciated.

also wanted to mention that the house previously had fleas, but have not seen one in 6 months and what I found in the mattress doesn't look like a flea either. very concerned however...

thank you for your reply, Jim. the last two pictures are of the same specimen, which I have photographed for you again -- hopefully in better detail & with better focus. this was the bug found in the seam of the mattress, and the most concerning to me as a possible bed bug...

    Doesn't look bedbug related.

that is reassuring, thank you for taking a look. now to find the root of the bites... possibly dust mites.
