For the past three days, I've been waking up with itchy welt-like bites - on my stomach, hip, groin, and behind my knee (five oblong bite things total).

This morning, I found a bug, and would like help id'ing it - THANK YOU!

Beetle- looks like one of the carpet beetles, not bed bug.

Bug is a beetle ... “Bites” don’t should like they would be related to bed bugs

I meant to mention that it has wings - when I put it in a glass, it flapped its wings, but couldn't fly. Stil a beetle? THANKS!

Beetles have front wings that are called wing covers and are known as elytra (elytron is singular). Hind wings are the flight wings and fold up under the covers. Of course, still a beetle. Sometimes have trouble flying right away.

Infestations of carpet beetles and those where the larvae have hastisetate (arrow-shaped setae) are known to cause skin lesions and in some cases misidentified as bed bug bites. I don't believe it would occur from a small carpet beetle population.
