    I had been bed bug free for 2 months and just found this bug. It doesn't have the segments on the back, only on the bottom. It's back is smooth. To be honest though, the bed bugs I found before never really looked like the pictures. They looked different than this, were small and black, but did bite me, leave fecal stains, and shed. Please help id asap!

    It's a beetle. It's what would be called an anobiid beetle, but now these are in the family Ptinidae. Most likely a wood borer.There are a few species that are stored product pests.
