Difficult to ID exactly because it's stuck on and behind tape. It's not a bed bug. Compare to pictures of bed bugs.

Professional entomologist/arachnologist. I consult on all matters dealing with insects and arachnids, including those of natural history and biology to pest management and forensic entomology investigations.

It's the wrong shape and size for a bed bug. I've been dealing with them myself and I can assure you it is not a bed bug. Personally, I'd say they kind of look like a flat and less colorful ladybug.

Thank you so much for clearing it up! I've been really paranoid since my bf had some and I would go to his house and he would come to mine.

This is a beetle (not sure which). Head, thorax, abdomen not like those of bed bug. Please compare to pictures of bed bug adults and nymphs.

It really doesn't look like a ladybug. Some ladybugs are not colorful. Flat is relative because if a bed bug feeds or has fed and is digesting, it really isn't flat any longer.

Lou says it's a beetle. He's an entomologist. Trust him!

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."
