We have a few rifles that reside in our room. What's the best way to go about making sure they are not harbouring bugs?

    Is this a set-up for a punchline?

I just want to know if there is a way to treat the guns. Lol.

There's some stuff I read about that you put on a rag and wipe on things- not CimeXa but another 'C' product... maybe run that over it and with the barrel cleaner, push the treated rag through?

(I also want to be 100% clear that I have no knowledge of gun cleaning other than what I've seen my military ex doing)

I am, by no means, a pro. I'm simply a person that has had unfortunate luck, and somehow acquired the little guys.
Any/all 'advice' I have to share is based on my own personal history and/or things I've read from the professionals on this site.
My profession is medical, which is where I am confident in any advice I give, however rare it may be.

Rifles aren't the best harborage for bed bugs. If they're oiled I wouldn't be concerned in the least.

I keep my rifles in a hard travel case under the bed, but if you use soft cases it might be worth running those through the dryer because of their construction. Overkill, but if you're really concerned about a possible infestation that's where I'd hide if I were a bed bug and rifles were my only available harborage.
