So around 11:30pm tonight I was just sitting at my computer when a bug jumped up next to my laptop. It wasn't fast to try and run away so i managed to kill and save it. It has very dark brown legs and feelers and an even darker (pretty much black) body. It doesn't seem to be as flat as the images i was looking at online of bed bugs and its head seems to be larger but overall it is very similar. Also 2 days ago i started finding itchy bug bites on my arms, legs and shoulders. They look just like mosquito bites.

Here is a link to my photobucket, I posted 3 images. I am sorry they are not of the best quality but it was the best i could get of such a small object. But hopefully it will help someone identify the insect.

Ya think? Thank you very much for checking it out. Part of me thinks it isn't but I really want some second opinions to make sure.

Id wait for some other members to check in, preferably not newbite members such as myself...

but they look too thick, too dark, and with too much antenna to be bedbugs to me.

    Deedle is just ribbing you....

No not a bed bug. I have loads of other bites too as it is that time of year. If you want to send it in to one of the universities to examine then you can be sure and sleep at night.

Look at some of the pictures on this site or New York vs bedbugs and you will be able to see the difference.

    LMAO Deedle!! Too funny!!

And the pics above are definitely not a bed bug. My guess would be a sort of grain beetle.

Absolutely no way is that a bed bug. I’ve seen a LOT of them and that is nothing like one. For a start, its body is in two very distinctive parts, like a fly or a beetle. A bed bug is much more joined together: one big round flat thing.

Plus bed bugs are a distinctive redish brown colour when they’re full. If theye not full, they’re see-through.

Plus bed bugs don’t have big antennae like that.

I hate bed bugs and that is not one! Looks like some kind of beetle or something.
