    Hi,
I was cleaning up and found a bunch of old floor furniture leg protectors. Can those be put on the floor and used as monitors/traps? Should stuff be put into them?
    Thanks.

Do you mean put them on the floor with no furniture in them?
It might help if you can post a picture of them.

My opinions are just opinions, they may NOT apply to yours or any situation.
My advice is to always do a LOT of research.
A lot of what I read contradicts other stuff on the Interweb.

Right, put them on the floor with no furniture legs in them. They are put on the bottom of furniture legs to protect the floors.

If you look at the ones from the links I'm afraid the most those could do would be preventing the bugs from running out of bed as once they get into the thing they will have direct access to the legs

You could just apply paper tape on the outside edge like they use on the climbups to make sure the BBS could get inside them. I've seen paper tape at the dollar store before.

My gut opinion is the bugs can climb in and out of them.
    They don't look smooth enough.
Worth a try if you already have them.

Climbup and other interceptor monitors have more to their design than the shape. A bed bug can easily climb into and out of a furniture coaster.

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."
