    I wouldn't suspect bed bugs.

I have no other signs that I’ve noticed but I have anxiety and ocd and it’s been taking a toll on my mental health even though I don’t have any solid reason to believe we have them.

Stop reading about them. Go out and have a nice dinner, or see a movie.

    Hi,

No it’s not faecal the deposition pattern is incorrect.

As with all anxiety and OCD based issues the long term solution it to better educate yourself so you don’t feed the cycle.

    Respond rather than react.

    Hope that helps.

One more thing David, is there anything I can do or place to monitor if for whatever chance I do have them? I know it’s the ocd talking and I am in therapy but I want to have reassurance that we don’t have them.

    Hi,

In terms of bedbug monitoring my business is based on using the Passsive Monitors which can help by giving a simple easy to check approach, this also avoids over searching and encourages simple monthly routines.

Outside of that record facts of what you do see rather than trying to work it out. If there is a pattern and bivouac source the more facts the more likely you are to get the answer.

    Hope that helps.

    David

After doing some research it seems that older furniture can look like that. I have another piece in storage in the basement that looks exactly the same.
