I've been itching for two weeks now. It first started off with any itchy feeling at night, then an invisible bug crawling/tingly feeling without any itching then to an intense itch and burning sensation. I'm not sure who infested who, but my partner's bedroom also seems to have something in it. It may have come from my cat or his recent vacation. I don't have any visible bites whereas he does.

I will most likely call a professional to inspect when they open in the morning for an ease of mind but I still wanted some opinions before that since it may be in the early stages of the infestation.

I have not found any signs of bugs until last night when I found three, all which were different looking. The first one was dark brown, long oval shaped and about 10mm. The only thing I can comment about the second one is that it was <2mm and a brown shade in between the first and second. The third one (see attached photo of blurry squished bug if interested).

    Now onto the photos
    (notes:
    - my box spring/foundation is made of brown fabric so I can't look for any signs on that
    - my mattress is about 19 years old).

I have patches of faded dots only on one side of my mattress as seen below. The seams are fine (although some sides are dirty filled with dust, plus I see brown specs and I swore there were three black dots on it somewhere but I can't seem to find it anymore).

On my bed sheet, I have about six black dots spread out randomly which seem to look like faded black sharpie dots.
    (note:
    - bed sheet has been washed a ton of times in the past week, so these are not fresh
    - my white mattress protector between my mattress and bed sheet is oddly clean without these dots)

Bonus photo of that third bug (bad quality, blurry photo, probably can't see anything).

    Your opinions are greatly appreciated!

I'm more concerned about the stains on the mattress. Do you think those are from bed bugs? My phone won't focus on the bug (besides, I accidentally squished it trying to get it on the tape).

If there's fecal staining from bedbugs, you should be able to locate live insects.

Unfortunately I have not found anything aside from those 3 bugs that I panic squished the other day. Do you think I should go ahead and call for an inspection or will it be futile since there is no visual evidence?
