Story as old as time. Found spots. Also dead roach...... errrr, pieces. Clearly the previous tenants were nasty. Any help in how to tell roach ick apart from BB ick? Been decades since dealing with roaches but is their ick smooth flat and round? I kept thinking it was more rough to the touch.

Not a pro here. Call me Jon Snow...... for I know nothing, except what I've experienced.

Worth noting the pieces and spots are all in the living room ceiling, stucco? Not the kitchen or bathroom. Hence my confusion.

Unlikely location for bed bug fecal.

I am assuming they spent a lot of time on the couch judging by the filth tracks in the carpet. I have yet to inspect the ceilings in the rest of the house. I have errands and will do that tonight. None of the ceilings were ever painted so god only knows how old any of this is. Though some of the spots rubbed off with a little saliva and tissue. Very muddy looking.

Cockroaches are built for vertical and inverted movement, they have those little hook-like bits on their legs. I think that's the technical term. Bed bugs are not built in the same fashion. Ask Lou.

    Can you post a photo?

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

Yes but did not get to it tonight. Definitely tomorrow evening after work!
