    Just found this bug dead on the floor of my bathroom. Please help me ID, freaking out!

    Definitely not a bed bug. Wait for a pro to give you a proper ID.

    Because it's not. Idk, lol. You can Google bedbug photos and compare the images. Looks more like an earwig to me. I am not a pro, but that is not a bedbug. Easiest thing to give as proof is bedbugs do not have pinchers.

    Not a pro here. Call me Jon Snow...... for I know nothing, except what I've experienced.

    It looks nothing like a bed bug. Compare your insect to any correct bed bug picture. There are times that pictures are on sites and because the insect is found on the bed, it is called a bed bug. Correct ID has been noted in that it is an earwig. Actually it is the introduced earwig, Forficula auricularia and it is a (somewhat broken) female.

    Professional entomologist/arachnologist. I consult on all matters dealing with insects and arachnids, including those of natural history and biology to pest management and forensic entomology investigations.
