There's a story in the press today about the Secretary of the EPA trying to buy a used mattress from a DC hotel. Politics aside, my first reaction was "A used hotel mattress??? Why on earth would you???" Is EPA trying to test some new pesticide or device?

    Cilecto!!!

    Great to see you.

That’s a really bizarre story. What interest would
Scott Pruitt have in a random used mattress from a Trump Hotel?

Or maybe it wasn’t just any old mattress, but a particular one, potentially with evidence of something? Hmm...

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."

That's what I thought too but isn't there a law against tampering with evidence?
Would there even be any useful evidence there anyways?

As a Canadian, I look forward to watching the nightly news to see what is happening in US politics, I find it very entertaining.
Even if you don't like Trump, you have to admit he is entertaining to watch.

My advice is to always do a LOT of research.
A lot of what I read contradicts other stuff on the Interweb.

    I agree it's pretty far-fetched.

    Hi Nobugs!!!

He might have particularly liked the mattress and might have thought "only cheap hotels get bed bugs".

I was a a tag sale a few months ago for a hotel that went under. They were sellings things out of the rooms, including mattress sets (encased, not all intact). People were buying.

I've been less active the past 5 years. Has anything changed?

Nice hearing from you again, Cilecto. Same problem, many different responses.

    Sorry--just seeing this now.

As Lou said, no major changes.

People will keep making poor choices re: used things. I know someone who has had bed bugs several times and is still picking up "treasures" on the sidewalk and behind their building....
