    Good morning!

We recently ordered an item online, and after I opened it, I noticed little white specks (like salt crystals) on our couch. I noticed a few more inside the piece of the wood that was used to house the artwork. I’ve Googled eggs, and the particles don’t look like the images I found, but I don’t want to take any chances. If they’re not eggs, any idea what they are?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

Kinda looks like gel silica crystals, the stuff they put in those little paper baggies to absorb moisture.

As always, thank you so much, Lou, for confirming! I can climb off my ledge now.

SS864, I think you might be right about the gel silica crystals.
