I am staying at an airbnb in Peru, and I checked the mattress as soon as I got here, and saw the following. I talked to the man currently managing the place (he's helping the owner at the moment who is out of town) and he says he stayed in my room and can vouch that there are currently no bed bugs. These spots look questionable to me. Your thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

While the marks are questionable they are not related to bedbugs.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

If you look at the finer detail of the example images you will see that they are in fact not as similar as your image despite how they may first appear.

After 16+ years of working with bedbugs it gets like being an art evaluator where the fakes stand out because of the sum of the differences.

The tough one is that you don’t get to gain the experience without dealing with more issues than most people would remain sane through.
