    Greetings.
This is my first time posting here, and depending on how it goes, it may be the only time I post. hopefully not, but we'll see.

    Where to start?
I'm a husband and father of two, and we are unfortunately a family of extreme poverty. We live day to day, paycheck to paycheck.
We have had bedbugs for almost two years, and now it is a heavy infestation. We cannot afford profession treatment, and unfortunately we cannot even afford diy treatments anymore.
We've tried things like DE and other things I've read about when we could afford it, (which simply wasn't often at all) but we can't afford anything any longer.
Last week my wife and I went two nights without dinner so our kids could eat. We don't have the common things like cable or internet, (our neighbors are nice enough to let us use their WiFi for now) and our ac just broke for good. I really don't like saying all this, but it's important to really hit home how broke we really are.

We've had to send our kids to school with embarrassing bug bites, and it's killing my spirit.
I just don't know what to do.

Meanwhile, I can't sleep because of the bugs, and I feel truly dead.
Now, I found this forum thinking it would be of some use, and so I signed up. But after reading some of these threads, I feel both discouraged and nervous.
I see a lot of posts that seem a bit... snobby, like one that said "as much as others may disagree, bed bugs are not difficult to get rid of".
Sorry, but no. These things are EXTREMELY difficult to get rid of, even if you have money. There's evidence all over this forum of it. And if you're as poor as me? Good luck.

On one thread, I saw someone get on on a fellow poor dad for wanting to move. Now I get the moral argument, but there was an air of moral superiority to the whole thing that left a bad taste in my mouth.

I came here with hope, but now I see several very discouraging things.
First, I'll have to somehow find every single place these things can possibly hide, and either go over it with a toothbrush til every inch is cleaned by hand, or throw it out.
Well, I don't have time to clean everything that well, (both of us have to work long hours) so I guess it's time to get rid of everything. On top of that, I know they hide under the carpet and in wall cracks, etc.

Second, we have to buy stuff or pay someone to treat. Can't afford either.

Third, as I stated before, I kept seeing people who, A, seem to think treating is easy, or B, lack empathy for the desperate. Therefore the support I'm seeking may not even exist.

But I figured I signed up, so I might as well post at least once.

Now I might come off the wrong way here, but as I said, I haven't been able to get much sleep lately, and things are getting bleak. So perhaps I'm just seeing the worst in everything and everyone right now. For that I'm truly sorry.

For my part, I don't really think this forum will help me. I think we're stuck with these monsters forever. I just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi Stolas, I am so sorry for you, I can't do anything for you but I just wanted to write you some words to comfort you. I'm not as broke as you are but I don't have a lot of money either and I think I can understand your despair. These things are evil, your family, and especially your kids, shouldn't have to endure this ordeal, this is so unfair.
I often wonder if there is a God... I don't understand how come rich people who always travel and have lots of money never get them in their life time (THEY could afford to treat, they can pay for heat treatments, it would not too much life changing for them) and why people who don't have lots of money are doomed to deal with these things. Life is so unfair.
Isn't there some kind of social service or a church that could help you maybe find donators to help you find some money for a professional treatment? Some people write on this forum that you can buy and use Cimexa (maybe some kind of church can help you buy this product)? I don't know as I live in France, things don't work the same but maybe someone else will give you some good advice.
If you need to just write, you can PM me anytime.

Thanks so much for your kind words. Considering my abrasive first post, it's probably more than I deserve.

Cimexa is one I've never heard of. I'll have to look it up. Anyways churches in my area are happy to help families like me, but they give things like donated canned goods. But I'm happy to pinch pennies and save for a while if the product I'm saving for is helpful.

Thanks again for the moral support. The kindness helps.

    Hi Stolas,

I am very sorry to hear what you are going through. I know how painful it is to deal with these things and my family is also very poor. Luckily for us we rent an apartment so the landlord covers the cost of the professional treatment.

So I would assume you are not renting. This would be entirely up to you but maybe you can start a new life by selling your property and taking only belongings that are essential and start a new life and perhaps if bed bugs do follow you back at least professional treatment will be covered and you can get them out of your life for good

I’ve only recently come back to this forum with help identifying a bug (luckily not BB). However, I’ve had them twice. Both treated and JR is the worst thing imaginable. I loved in alas and relocated to the bay and thus no issues. But I lost my mind having them, spent thousands of dollars and was instructed by a pest specialist regarding this product. Hopefully this is available in your state. Product

Hi Stolas, did you try to buy Cimexa? According to what is said on this website, it sounds like it's one of the most effective product against bedbugs, you need to use a residual like Cimexa (not just a spray that will only kill on contact, contrary to what is mentioned above) so that when they walk across the poison, they'll die.

I understand that for people with limited means this is absolutely overwhelming and at times financially not feasible to address. I'm not an expert in any way shape or form and I don't think that just cinexa will make a difference but I will say that I found some dead bat bugs on the floor that I do think were killed By cimexa. It works but probably combined with other methods.

    Hi Stolas,
    I really sympathize with you.
I agree with what everyone else suggested.
I will add that some people have (carefully) moved to get away from the bugs.
Hopefully someone else will comment with some ideas.
Best wishes to you and your family.

    I am NOT an expert.
My opinions are just opinions, they may NOT apply to yours or any situation.
My advice is to always do a LOT of research.
A lot of what I read contradicts other stuff on the Interweb.
