Someone who presents as a pro mentioned in a recent post that silica gel is better than DE. Isn't DE a form of silica? For those experience in the matter, is silica gel significantly better for fighting BB that the consumer or pro should go out of their way to get silica over DE? Thanks.

Most "Pro's" are not going to waste time with DE that takes many days to work when there are dusts that will provide 100% mortality in 24 hours.

I think DE started out as a weekend warrior product and a bunch of companies jumped on it for a more "green" approach.

My clients want bugs dead now, period. I use what is best on the market to do just that.

are those available to the public or only PCOs?

I'd be curious to know what those are, there is all sorts of mixture out there Delta dust, Drione, Etc Etc

    Perhaps it's a trade secret

Edit: after doing a small search under "best dust" I came up with Tempo also which is I guess equal or better than Drione, any other powder out there?

    endless,

No, you can buy dusts with pesticides added, as well as many other pesticide products pros have access to. There are sources for these in the Useful Tools page in the section on "DE and other dusts".

I started and run the site but am "not an expert."
