    No bites noticed. No smearing when killed. Don't know what this is. Killed about 5 in the last week.

    Do you know what the bugs are/if the last picture may be larvae? Why do you think they aren't bed bugs? 3 legs & antennae

    Immature bed bugs are called nymphs, not larvae. Bed bugs have immature stages that resemble the adult insect such as what happens in cockroaches and crickets. The larval stage is what occurs in beetles, butterflies and bees and here the immature stage doesn't resemble the adult insect; there is also a pupal stage that occurs in between these 2 stages. 3 pair of legs and 2 antennae describe most insects of either the immature or the adult stages. Your specimen is an example of an adult shiny spider beetle, Gibbium aequinoctiale.
