Please help!!!!! Here is a picture... http://tinypic.com/r/1zeayxj/9

I saw it crawling on my bed and immediately took a tissue to kill it. It is flat like a bed bug but doesn't seem to have the same color/exact shape (no head, unless it fell off). Also because I killed it I cant tell it's leg situation. The legs are curled under. I don't think I saw much leg though while it was walking so either way the legs are short. Please help!

I'm pretty sure bed bugs don't get this dark, but I'm no expert. The adults are brownish, but I've never heard of a black one.

    Hi,

Sorry I cant get the image to load.

Often with tinypic.com there are so many pop ups my browser blocks it for security. You could try embedding the code.

Not an expert. The photo laded briefly for me, then a popup killed the page. However, it looks like a carpet beetle to me. You can tell based on the white zigzag stripe pattern.

Embed the photo as David suggested for an expert ID, though.

It stayed long enough before the popup. Yes, a species of Anthrenus carpet beetle.

Thank you all. I'll try embedding the image below:

If that doesn't work I tried uploading it to some other sites as well, hopefully with less pop ups:

I hope one of these works!

    Hi,

Thanks and confirming Lou (not that it needed (but it makes chronological sense)).

Better picture sites - no popups. Beetle ID still good.
