Please any updates? I am very nervous that it is a bed bug.

Oh no, definitely not a bed bug, not even remotely close. Google images of bed bugs so you don't freak yourself out over common household bugs.

Thanks so much. I got back from a work trip and have been getting bitten so I have set up traps and passive monitors and found this. I am trying to find the cause of bites and am praying it is not bed bugs.

    Thanks for your help.

A pborid fly. Breeds in waste water, organic ooze, usually drains.

Thank you very much for your feedback. Looked them up and looks like they don’t bite. So back to square one.

Sorry. Answered when on my phone. Word is supposed to be written phorid, not pborid.

Not bed bug. Compare to any bed bug picture. Looks nothing like it. It's a small beetle.

I know. You might be better to call your skin reactions, skin lesions and not bites; they might not be bites.

One last thing. Could this be part of a cast skin?
