Found this next to my bed today. Is this a bedbug/bedbug-related, or if not, could it be what's causing my bites?

Hello! That is NOT a bed bug. It could be causing a reaction though, as the tiny hairs on carpet beetles can irritate skin.

I am, by no means, a pro. I'm simply a person that has had unfortunate luck, and somehow acquired the little guys.
Any/all 'advice' I have to share is based on my own personal history and/or things I've read from the professionals on this site.
My profession is medical, which is where I am confident in any advice I give, however rare it may be.

Carpet beetle larva and you can see the hastisetae in a brush arrangement at the rear. These are known to cause a dermatitis, so it is possible that this is your problem, especially if there there are many more of these infesting the home.
