Hi all - found this crawling near me on my couch around 11pm tonight. Have had sporadic “mystery bites” since November 2018; pest control company doesn’t have a clue.

Any idea what this bug is? Was concerned it could be an unfed bed bug. If not, what does it appear to be? Thanks so much in advance for your help!

You're okay, that's about as far away from a bed bug as you can get. Lou can probably give you the name of that critter in the morning. Now get some sleep.

At one time the insect order was Thysanura, not Zygentoma. Silverfish.
