    Hi,

100% not bed bug, its appears to be a flea.

    Hope that helps.

Looks like a female flea. Do you have any pet dogs or cats?

My apologies... I was so freaked out by the bug I found in my bed hehe.

Thank you for all your help! I do not have any pets but our house is old so it's not surprising that there would be some bugs. Both me and my house mate have been getting bites during the night so the first thing we thought of was bed bugs. Hopefully the bites are just a coincidence and not bed bugs

Bites are not a coincidence since fleas are parasitic so feeding on you (or its normal host) is something they have to do. Did you just move in and there were pets before? Neighbors with pets? A common flea is the cat flea (Ctenocephalides felis), but if there are rodents (mice, rats, squirrels, etc.), then could be a more specific flea. From picture, can't tell which.

It's probably fleas from squirrels because there's a lot in our neighbourhood that hangout around our roof and the surrounding trees.
