    I am curious if anyone knows what type of bug this is. I woke up this morning with bites on my body and found this bug later. Can someone tell me what this is?[/url]

    The picture isn't 100% clear but looks like a lacewing larva. Yes, these will bite -- the mandibles are quite large. They are great predators and useful in biological control of aphids, for example, but they get a bit carried away and taste people's skin at times.

    Professional entomologist/arachnologist. I consult on all matters dealing with insects and arachnids, including those of natural history and biology to pest management and forensic entomology investigations.
