I have found more things than I ever thought were even in my house...I found another one that I don't think is BB because I think that I see wings but, I am by no means any kind of expert on any "bug" considering I have a tendency to act extremely irrational around anything with more that 4 legs. Here are my newest pics...and as a side thought...if I am going to keep this up I need to get better with my phone camera and magnifying glass techniques.

Also, just curious...are my pics okay for review or are they not zoomed in enough. Thanks for looking. I do really appreciate all the info and advice that is out there.

Pics are pretty blurry so can’t tell 100% but it sort of does look like a bed bug. But you said it has wings? Try getting some crisper images and having Lou give a proper ID.

For the record, I am NOT an expert.
My advice/opinion comes from past experience(s) with bed bugs and what I have read on-line.

Im not an expert but looks like a beetle to me. Lou would be the person to get an accurate response from.

Thank you loubugs. I appreciate your help and opinion. It is probably obvious that I know someone who has been going through treatment and I am quite frightened. My family think I am nutty and the nearest pest control that even claims to know anything is over 100 miles away. So I keep checking and inspecting myself and trying not to become crazy.

Your predicament and behavior is understandable. Learn what some insects look like and don't look like so you can be less anxious.

    Loubugs,
That is what I am trying to do. Little by little. I have scoured this forum and the internet. I think that I have perhaps over loaded myself and made it worse. I have glue trap things under the beds, lift the encased mattressess and pull off the pillow tops weekly. Am working on my son's clutter issues...it was a sight when I found an actual apple seed that had fallen off of an old school project. Everything I find is taped and magnified for review. I think I am getting better and feeling a bit more confident, like with my latest find I saw a split at the back end that made me think it had wings, that coupled with the smooth back...I was feeling pretty good...then not so good...now okay again. Until the next questionable creature that I find...Thanks!

Here's a picture of bed bugs and apple seeds. Size comparison. Apple varieties may have different looking seeds.

That is what so many people compare them to. And when I was in full blown phobic mania...there was just no reason in my head. I feel like I am slowing down and just trying to monitor...and do the best I can...the big wake up for me was trying to peel the freckle birth mark off of my daughter thinking it was a creature.

But you stopped, you didn't harm your daughter. It takes some time to get bed bugs out of your mind. I recall one post on this site where a person had found an undigested sesame seed in their own feces and thought she had bed bugs in her digestive system.
It just takes time to come down off of high alert.

It is very hard. And isolating but, this forum exists and can be so helpful... Even if it is sometimes just to get the anxiety out through typing. Oh for the days when my biggest fears were fleas, ticks and lice...LOL.
