ON hard surfaces like glass or plastic, is bleach an effective contact kill - and will it also kill eggs?

We are trying to rehome our reptiles for the duration of treatment, obviously without risking spreading bed bugs to our saviours of the day who are taking care of our animals.

The tanks have some nooks and crannies, but nothing like a piece of wooden furniture would have - would a good scrub/spray down with bleach solve the problem, or should we find them temporary housing and leave the tanks to be sprayed?

Doubt the bedbugs would be interested in the reptiles. You can make your own contact killer/knockdown spray by mixing 5 ounces of 50% rubbing alcohol with 5 ounces of Murphy's Soap mixed with 10 ounces of water. Forget about the bleach.
